Needlepoint canvas comes in different mesh counts, which refers to how many holes per inch the canvas has. This number affects the level of detail in your design and the type of thread you'll use. On each of our canvases, the mesh size is labeled in the description, or you can search and filter by which mesh size you prefer!
Here’s a breakdown of the most common sizes:
13 Mesh Canvas
Description: 13 holes per inch
Best For: Bold, less detailed design; great for beginners!
Thread Types: Thicker threads like wool, silk & ivory, or multiple strands of cotton
18 Mesh Canvas
Description: 18 holes per inch
Best For: More detailed, intricate designs
